PROPERTY CRIMES UNIT
The Property Crimes Unit conducts investigations
of completed and attempted instances of crime relating to the non-violent theft
of property to include: residential and commercial burglaries; petit and grand
larcenies; failure to return rental property; motor vehicle theft, unauthorized
use of motor vehicles and altered
Vehicle Identification Numbers; possession of stolen property; obtaining money
by false pretenses; stolen or bad checks;
identity theft; any other criminal matter relating to fraud; and the theft of
services, such as gas, water, electrical power, et cetera.
